Website Outage
Giving an update on the site.
Hey everyone,
I wanted to give a quick update about why the site’s been down and what’s going on behind the scenes. Long story short — our data center caught fire. Yeah, an actual fire. Thankfully no one was hurt, but the facility that housed our servers was completely knocked offline.
It’s the kind of nightmare situation you hope insurance will cover, right? Well… turns out that “coverage” means something very different to insurance companies. Between loopholes, delays, and endless “we’re looking into it” replies, it’s clear we’re on our own for this one. It’s frustrating — not just because of the cost, but because you pay for peace of mind, and when the worst happens, peace is the first thing that disappears.
So, I’m handling it the old-fashioned way: sourcing new hardware, building things back up from scratch, and making sure the new setup is more resilient. It won’t happen overnight, but the site will be back — faster, tougher, and better protected.
Thank you to everyone who reached out or noticed the downtime. Your patience really means a lot. This kind of setback sucks, but it’s also a reminder of why I started this in the first place — to build something dependable and transparent. And that’s exactly what I intend to keep doing.
